2009 marks the 20th year that the UC Davis School of Law will offer attorneys, judges and legal professionals from around the world the opportunity to participate in our programs especially designed for foreign practitioners and students.

Summer Program Highlights

Orientation in U.S.A. Law
July 12-August 8, 2009
This popular program provides an excellent overview of the U.S. legal system. Over the past 19 years, more than 1,800 participants from 50 countries have taken part in this program. Enroll by May 15 to qualify for the early enrollment discount.

Structuring an International Joint Venture
August 10-21, 2009
Legal and business practitioners learn about complex international and U.S. business and legal transactions to better represent their clients in international joint ventures.

The Twelfth Annual International Commercial Law Seminar in Cologne, Germany
June 15-26, 2009
Now in its twelfth year, the International Commercial Law Seminar is a joint collaboration between the University of California, the University of Cologne and the German Bar Association (DAV). The program will be offered for two weeks in June, 2009. Enroll by April 15 for the early enrollment discount.

Summer International Commercial Law LL.M.
June-August every summer
The Summer International Commercial Law LL.M. program was designed for working attorneys. Apply by May 30 to allow for adequate admissions processing time.
