The Master Brewers Program is a unique, 18-week program that provides an in-depth understanding of brewing science and brewery engineering.
Professional Brewers Certificate Program
January 25-March 19, 2010
The curriculum of this program duplicates the first eight weeks of the Master Brewers Program. Through lectures, the program provides participants with a solid understanding of brewing science and engineering.
Academic Director Honored
Michael Lewis, UC Davis professor emeritus of brewing science and a predominant member of the brewing community, was awarded the prestigious 2008 Brewers Association Recognition Award at the annual Craft Brewers Conference. The award recognizes his dedication and service to the industry. With more than 30 years teaching experience, Lewis has taught many of the prominent players in the American brewing industry and has served as the academic director of the UC Davis Extension professional brewing programs for the past 25 years.
